Due to internal promotions we're looking for a sales and customer service superstar to join our tight-knit team supplying bulk wholesale stock to the general public and local businesses within Hawke’s Bay.
The position will vary day to day but the ideal candidate will be wanting to take the next step up in a sales environment, you will be working with our Sales Support team taking daily customer orders, quotes and product queries.
This is a full-time position and an immediate start is preferred, weekend work on Saturdays may also be required with extra hours on an as needed basis. You will be required to have excellent customer service skills, able to multi-task with ease, work to delivery deadlines, punctual and reliable as early morning starts will be required.
You will possess excellent customer service skills, previous experience within retail or hospitality industries would be an advantage, able to work to tight deadlines, a keen interest in food industry trends, sound knowledge of food safety practices and responsibilities, and be enthusiastic with a can-do attitude where no task or customer request is too small.
Duties include but are not limited to taking daily telephone & email orders from customers, pricing and providing product specs for customers & events, working together with other departments to ensure efficient customer, stock and ordering processes are had at all times, helping with customer showroom sales, warehouse and storeroom activities when required, picking and packing orders, and servicing internal and external customer requirements.
To be considered for this role you MUST have
Excellent customer service skills
Previous retail or hospitality experience
Sales and up-selling skills would be an advantage
Physically fit, punctual and reliable
Sound computer knowledge with Microsoft Office and stock management software or data entry experience preferred
Ability work within a team
A high level of accuracy, an eye for detail and be able to step up when working under pressure, a multi-tasking superhero
Friendly, helpful, can do attitude and willing to go the extra mile for our customers
A positive attitude with an ability to motivate staff in a professional manner
Be well presented with excellent communication skills
Efficiency, with proven ability to work to deadlines
Willingness to get stuck in and do whatever tasks are required
Ambitious and ready for a challenge
